A training session was held on the topic “The Importance of Reproductive Health Among Young People”
24On June 13, a training session entitled “The Importance of Reproductive Health among Young People” was held at Magtymguly Turkmen State University in accordance with the work plan for higher education institutions on the occasion of the International Year of Peace and Trust, led by Mayagozel Kuliyeva, Director of the Reproductive Health department of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). Students from the university’s faculties participated in the training session.
As noted in the training session, concern for the younger generation of our country is a priority of the policy pursued by our esteemed President. In accordance with this policy, special attention is paid to raising a harmoniously developing, physically healthy, highly educated young generation. The spiritual values, ancient traditions and moral principles of the Turkmen society form the basis of this policy. The social policy, economic and cultural reforms carried out in this area are aimed, first of all, at protecting the health of mothers and children, at ensuring that the younger generation lives a healthy life, engages in sports and creativity, and is educated in accordance with national and universal spiritual values.
Necessary work is being carried out in our country to provide the child healthcare system with specialists consistently, necessary medicines, and healthcare resources that meet international requirements, and to strengthen the material and technical base of the system.
During the training session, there was a question-and-answer session with the participants. Gratitude was also expressed to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, for the opportunities created for young people in our beloved homeland to follow a healthy lifestyle.
