A training session on methods of teaching the Russian language
4On November 27, at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, a training session titled “Russian as a Foreign Language: From Traditions to the Digital Future” was held with the participation of Olesya Rumyantseva, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of the Institute of the Russian Language of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University). The session was attended by students of the Russian Language and Literature program of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, as well as faculty members of the Department of Russian Language and Literature.
Olesya Rumyantseva spoke about methods of teaching the Russian language, combining them with her many years of practical experience. It was also noted that cooperation between the Turkmen and Russian peoples in various spheres of life, as well as longstanding cultural and humanitarian relations, plays an important role in teaching the Russian language.
During the training session, participants engaged in a question-and-answer exchange on the characteristic features of modern methods of teaching Russian and advanced instructional approaches.
The training session was held from November 24 to 28 within the framework of the visit to Turkmenistan of representatives of the Ural State Russian Academic Folk Choir, the Moscow Folk Choir, and the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba.
