The event “Turkmenistan — UNESCO: Natural Heritage is Preserved” was held
4On November 28, at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, an event titled “Turkmenistan — UNESCO: Natural Heritage is Preserved” was held, organized by the UNESCO Chair “Cultural Heritage: From Past to Future.”
The meeting, held at the Geology Museum, was attended by the Responsible Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Affairs, Hero of Turkmenistan Chynar Rustemova, as well as leaders of UNESCO clubs of the country’s higher education institutions and representatives of Magtymguly TSU. During the meeting, participants exchanged views on the activities carried out by UNESCO clubs operating in Turkmenistan and on events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Neutrality.
A member of the UNESCO Chair of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences Anatoly Bushmakin, introduced the guests to the museum’s exposition and spoke about the rich natural heritage of our country and the inclusion of its outstanding examples in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
