An Online Olympiad in English Was Held
26On March 27, an online competition in English titled “Learning foreign languages is the doorway to wisdom” (Daşary ýurt dillerini öwrenmek — paýhaslylyga açylýan gapydyr) was held at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University.
The online competition featured a wide range of participants from various higher education institutions across the country, including Magtymguly Turkmen State University, Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan, Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, International University for the Humanities and Development, S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Dovletmammet Azady Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, Turkmen Agricultural Institute, Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute, Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports, Institute of International Relations, Turkmen State Institute of Culture, Institute of Engineering-Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan named after Great Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy, Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, Turkmen State Finance Institute, Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding, Maya Kulyyeva Turkmen National Conservatory, and State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan.
The objective of the competition was to increase the interest of higher education students in the in-depth and comprehensive study of the English language and to foster their profound knowledge. It further aimed to cultivate young specialists capable of creatively refining the theoretical and practical skills they have acquired in English, in accordance with the demands of the modern era.
The online Olympiad in English consisted of a total of 50 questions. The tasks were administered online via the website of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, with students participating directly from their respective higher education institutions.
