A literary and scientific-creative meeting was held
3On June 5th, within the framework of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan, a literary and scientific-creative meeting was held at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University with the participation of students and professors/teachers on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of Samed Vurgun, an outstanding representative of 20th-century Azerbaijani literature and the first People’s Poet of Azerbaijan. Professor Karim Tahirov, Director of the National Library of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Hikmet Mammedov, Deputy of the National Assembly (Milli Majlis) of the Republic of Azerbaijan; and Associate Professor Aygun Bagirli, Chief Scientific Secretary of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Azerbaijan, spoke at the meeting.
