University Delegation Paid a Working Visit to Urumchi
9Recently, the Rector of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, O.Owezsahedov, and lecturers of the Department of Oriental Languages, N.Hezziyeva and A. Allagulyyev, as members of the Turkmen delegation, paid a working visit to Urumchi, People’s Republic of China, to participate in the “Central Asia–China Conference on Cooperation in Industry, Education, Science, and Practice.”
During the working visit, a Framework Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Chinese Language Teaching was signed between Magtymguly Turkmen State University (Turkmenistan), the Center for International Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education (People’s Republic of China), and Xinjiang Normal University (People’s Republic of China). In addition, trilateral Framework Agreements were signed with the Chinese side in the presence of the rectors of Dowletmammet Azady Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute.
Under the Agreement signed by Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the parties aim to establish and develop academic and scientific cooperation focused on implementing joint research and educational activities, expanding cultural relations, and thereby creating a unified educational, cultural, and information space. The planned areas of cooperation include providing methodological support for educational activities, exchanging teachers and researchers, jointly developing teaching materials, implementing programmes for the professional development and advanced training of teachers in mutually beneficial fields, organizing training and professional development courses for Chinese language teachers of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, initiating joint research in areas of mutual interest, jointly organizing academic events, and publishing scientific and methodological articles.
The signing of these agreements became yet another demonstration of the long-standing positive cooperative relations between Turkmenistan and the People’s Republic of China.
