Faculty of Physics
1235The faculty was established in 1932.
There are departments of General Physics, Theoretical and Experimental Physics, Radio physics and Electronics at the faculty. Specialists in physics, radio physics and electronics are trained at these departments.
The research works in different areas such as investigation in the electric, magnetic and structural qualities of semiconductors; the solar energy facilities development; radio-frequency spectroscopy of nuclear magnetic resonance; radio-waves propagation and teaching methods are being conducted at the faculty.
All the departments of the faculty have in total 23 special rooms for physics activities, all of which are equipped with the up-to-date technologies from Europe and Russia. There is also an observatory at the faculty of physics.
The graduates are given qualifications of “physicist, teacher”, “radio physicist, teacher”. After graduating from the university they are able to work at the education system, at research institutions, science centers and communication centers.
