Ceremony Held on the Occasion of International Children’s Day
5A musical and cultural event entitled “A child is the eternal companion of human life, the joy and hope of life” was held at Magtymguly Turkmen State University on the occasion of June 1 – International Children’s Day.
As was emphasized in the speeches delivered during the event, thanks to the efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the esteemed President, kindergartens, general secondary schools, children’s health improvement and recreation centres are being built and put into operation in our beloved country to provide children with opportunities for education and upbringing. The speakers also highlighted the activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow Charity Foundation for assistance to children in need of guardianship in providing support and assistance to children in need.
The children participating in the event expressed their heartfelt pride through songs and poems praising our Hero-Arkadag, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, our Motherland, and the happy childhood enjoyed by the younger generation.
During the event, entertaining competitions were organized to assess the children's thinking abilities and agility by having them recite riddles and tongue twisters and continue them.
The musical event also featured dance performances and poetry recitations in various languages by the “Gulyaka” creative group of Secondary School No. 15 of Ashgabat, which made the celebration even more vibrant.
The songs performed by the singers of the “Bagtyyarlyk Ovazlary” cultural centre of the university added a special atmosphere to the event.
At the end of the ceremony, commemorative gifts were presented to the participating children by the Primary organization of the trade union of Magtymguly Turkmen State University.
